Pre and postnatal exercise class timetable

IMPORTANT UPDATE Reduced class timetable applicable JUNE 2019

Due to a number our staff returning to the University of Melbourne to complete post-graduate study in June 2019, we will have a reduced class timetable running across the later part of this month. All changes are reflected in the online booking link and are as follows:

  • Monday 11.15am Mums and Bubs- No class 10th June (Public Holiday) or 17th June 2019

  • Tuesday 11.15 am Mums and Bubs - No class 25th June

  • Wednesday 12pm Mums and Bubs - No class 12th or 19th June

  • Thursday 12pm Mums and Bubs - No class 20th or 27th June

  • Wednesday evening pre and postnatal classes - Change to 15 min later start time 12th June and 19th June (5.30pm 6.30pm and 7.30pm)

  • Saturday AM classes - No change

  • Our usual timetable will resume as normal from 1st July 2019

* Please note all classes are held at our EAST KEILOR clinic. However you can attend a pre-class assessment at either location.

Exercise Class Information

General Information

All our classes are led by an experienced and qualified Pelvic Floor/Women's Health physiotherapist.

All classes are suitable for anyone looking for an exercise class with a 'pelvic floor safe' focus. This includes at any stage of pregnancy and from 6 weeks post-partum.

Prior to attending any of our exercises classes you will be required to make an appointment to see one of our Physiotherapists for a 1:1 clinical assessment.

During this appointment we will use a variety of assessment techniques to establish your current level of pelvic floor and musculoskeletal function.

All client's assessment information, specific goals and any musculoskeletal or pelvic floor issues are made aware to instructors prior to class to ensure you are able to exercise safely and so that exercises can be targeted to your goals.

Classes can usually be modified so they are safe for you to attend even if you have pregnancy related back pain, pelvic girdle pain or any pelvic floor concerns.

All classes held at 62 Dinah Parade, Keilor East in the upstairs studio (No pram access - for those attending ;mums and bubs’ we request you bring baby in a carrier or capsule).

 

Payment

Classes are to be pre-paid. Packs of 5 or 10 are available as well as casual visits. 

  • 5 Pack ($125)- 3 month expiry

  • 10 Pack ($220) - 6 month expiry

  • Casual ($30)

You can use your 5 or 10 pack across any of our classes. 

You have the option to book as many weeks in advance as per your 5 or 10 pack  purchased or you can book as you go. (Please be aware some classes fill up so it is advisable to book your spot in advance).

All class bookings can be made ONLINE.

Health fund rebates apply from most health funds. 

(Note: Some health funds will cease providing rebates for ‘pilates’ classes from April 2019. All our group physio classes remain unaffected by this change - you are still eligible for your rebate.)

Receipts are emailed following each attendance. 

* If you have purchased a pack during pregnancy then go on to have your baby, you are able to carry the classes over for use after the birth of your baby. 

*Important Note: Unused credits are not refundable. However you may redeem your credit towards any class, product or service that we offer. 

 

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice you will not be charged and can move your class to a more suitable time. 

Inside 24 hours you will not be able to use this payment for another time slot and will be charged in full.

Mother's Group Sessions

Do you have a mother's group already formed and want to exercise together? We are happy to work with you to set up a class especially for your group at a time that suits. Email us at admin@mppp.com.au for more info!

 

Are there any special considerations for exercising during pregnancy?

Whilst exercise during pregnancy is generally shown to be very beneficial, there are some conditions which may make it unsuitable for you to exercise during pregnancy. You will be screened for these conditions during your 1:1 assessment.
