Karina graduated from La Trobe University in 2007 and has since specialised in Women’s Health physiotherapy. She has extensive experience working within the pelvic floor and continence field in the public sector within Australia and the UK, having worked within some of the UK’s most prominent maternity and gynaecology units including St Thomas’s Hospital, University College Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London.

Karina has an extensive history working in leadership roles in Public Health Services in Australia and worked to establish the first Advanced Practice Physiotherapy in Urogynaecology clinic which received ‘Highly Commended’ in the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards for Western Health. She also worked in a senior role facilitating the transition of Allied Health workforce and models of care into the new Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s at Sunshine Hospital.

Karina is a clinical tutor on the Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Post Graduate Certificate at the University of Melbourne and enjoys her work leading the future direction of Melbourne Pregnancy and Pelvic Physio as well as collaborating with junior staff through mentoring and training.
